• Jeep Wrangler (JK) (2007-2012) w/ Dana 30 Front Axle; Features 5-760X Universal Joint; Front Left Chromoly Axle Shaft Assembly.
• The RT-Offroad (Crown) RT23010 Chromoly axle shaft is significantly stronger than the Crown Automotive 68004080AA axle shaft.
• RT-Offroad RT23010: This is a heavy-duty performance upgrade forged from premium 4340 Chromoly alloy steel. The material is heat-treated to yield roughly 30% higher tensile and torsional strength over a stock factory shaft
• RT-Offroad RT23010: Features rolled splines. Instead of cutting away metal (which creates structural stress points), rolling compresses the steel grains, preserving its integrity and making the splines vastly more resistant to stripping or shearing under high torque.
• RT-Offroad RT23010: Upgrades the assembly to a heavy-duty Spicer 5-760X universal joint. This joint features a cold-forged body and superior seals, offering a much higher load capacity to survive large tires and trail abuse

If you are replacing a broken shaft on a completely stock daily driver, the Crown 68004080AA is fine. However, if you are running larger tires (33" to 35"), have a front locker, or take your Jeep rock crawling, the RT-Offroad RT23010 is the obvious choice to prevent a future trail breakage
